Epic Bike Fest

The NorthWoods Überländer is held in conjuction with Epic Bike Fest, at the historic Telemark Village in Cable, WI. Epic Bike Fest is an exciting multiday offroad cycling festival with an incredible point to point singletrack mountain bike race from Hayward to Cable, WI, and an equally challenging gravel event. Come to spectate, come to ride, come to party!

Since the Überländer and Bike Fest are held on the same grounds, camping at the Überländer is a great way to stay right in the heart of the action. Reserve your spot before they're gone!

Why drive when you can stay right in the heart of the action! Camping is available on site at the Telemark Village, and will serve both the NorthWoods Überländer and the Epic Bike Fest.

The camping area will have port-o-potties located throughout, but minimal other amenities. Campers need to be largely self sufficient, so please bring your own water. Dumpsters will be available on site

There will be limited power provided by NoWhere Vans for charging cell phones. Sorry, no generators.

Camping is available for tents and vehicles, including RVs. Only one vehicle is allowed per spot, but overflow parking will be available. The tent spots are large enough for a vehicle and tent, with some additional space. Larger campsites are available for tow-behind trailers and larger RVs. The camping area is an open field, so expect to have neighbors close by.

Specific sites are not reservable, and placement is first come first serve, starting at 3PM Friday June 9th.

Camp Rules

Campground rules are established so each camper can enjoy a good night's sleep and to ensure we are welcomed back next year. Click on the link below to review the camping rules.

Note that dogs are allowed in the campground, but the Epic Bike Fest policy does not allow dogs in the race area during race times.

Can I Mountain Bike?

Of course! Since the Überländer is held in conjunction with the Midwest’s largest bike race, there will be plenty of opportunity to ride. The extensive CAMBA trail system can be accessed directly from the campground, although some sections of trail will be closed for the races. And if you are planning to race, the campground is the perfect place to park your rig and make a home base!

Are Pets Allowed?

Yes pets are allowed,  but please keep dogs on a leash. Per the Epic Bike Fest policy, pets are not allowed in the race area during race times.

Do I need a ticket?

The NorthWoods Überländer and Epic Bike Fest are free to attend, and no ticket is necessary. If you plan to camp, you will need to register for a campsite. And if you want to ride in any of the EPIC events, you will need to be registered to race.

What Vehicles are allowed? Can I tent Camp?

We don’t discriminate, bring anything you want to sleep in! Just make sure to reserve a campsite appropriate for your rig.

What does the campground include? Are there bathrooms and showers?

The camping location is simply a grassy area reserved for camping, with minimal amenities. There will be porta potties, and potable water will be available to fill portable containers, but please plan ahead and come prepared. There are no showers or hookups. In the spirit of self-sufficiency and for everyone's enjoyment, this is a no generator event. Power will be available for charging phones and small electronics.

Can I reserve a specific campsite?

Campsites will be first come first serve. There are a limited number of sites, and all camping tickets must be purchased ahead of time. No day-of reservations are available. Camping check-in will be open at 3PM on Friday, June 9th.

Will there be Overlanding style activities?

While the event is centered around vans, overland vehicles, and camping, it is primarily an expo and festival and does not include driving activities.

Is power available at the campsites?

The NorthWoods Überländer is an off-grid style event, and power is not provided. Additionally, generators are not allowed in the campground. Power will be available for charging phones and small electronics.

Are Campfires Allowed?

Yes, fires are allowed, but must be contained in above ground pits. Please help keep our NorthWoods healthy and don’t transport firewood.
